And Now for Something Different

Rudy Giuliani hints at end of US presidential campaign

RUDOLPH Giuliani today signalled the end of his 2008 Republican White House campaign, as he looked set to come a dismal third in the must-win Florida primary.
The former New York mayor did not formally quit the race, but delivered a valedictory address as results from the key nominating showdown flooded in.

“I’m proud that we chose to stay positive and to run a campaign of ideas in an era of personal attacks, negative ads and cynical spin,” Mr Giuliani told supporters in Orlando, Florida.

“You don’t always win, but you can always try to do it right … that’s what the American people deserve, a return to honesty and substance in our political discussion.”

A Time magazine election website reported that Mr Giuliani would travel to California tomorrow to endorse Senator John McCain, who won the Florida primary and is emerging as the Republican front-runner.

Asked about the reports he will bow out and endorse Mr McCain, Mr Giuliani said only: “We’re heading to California, we’re heading to California.”

He spoke at length about his vision for the country, repeatedly referring to his presidential campaign in the past tense and emotionally dedicating it to the victims of the September 11, 2001, attacks.

“We’ll stay involved and together we’ll make sure that we do everything we can to hand our nation off to the next generation better than it was handed to us,” Mr Giuliani said.

“The responsibility of leadership doesn’t end with a single campaign,” he said.

Mr McCain won a breakthrough triumph in the Florida primary, edging past former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney and seizing precious campaign momentum for next week’s string of contests across more than 20 states.

Former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee trailed but told supporters he would forge on.

The victory solidified Mr McCain’s status as the front-runner for the nomination, his candidacy having come full circle in little more than a year.

“It shows one thing. I’m the conservative leader who can unite the party,” the Arizona senator said.

“It’s a very significant boost but I think we’ve got a tough week ahead and a lot of states to come.”

The victory was worth 57 national convention delegates for Mr McCain, a winner-take-all haul and the largest single prize to date in the race.

Hillary Rodham Clinton won the Democratic race, an event that drew no campaigning by any of the contenders – and awarded no delegates to the winner.

Supreme Victory!

The Sarah Connor Chronicles will not be seen tonight

Instead in America, all national networks are subjected to 2 to 3 hours of pointless drivel from George W. Bush in his final State of the Union address.  George Bush has done more than enough damage to the world in his 8 years in power.  Now taking up 2 hours of my valuable TV time is simply pushing it.

Say No to Hillary!

Hillary for President?

Jesus H. Christ! What in the hell are top Dems smoking to even think about backing Hillary over Obama? Do Democrats have a secret death pact we don’t know about? If they want corrupt political dynasty, go ahead, make Hillary the next President of the United States of America.

The reasons not to do such a thing are obvious to anyone not drinking the Clinton Kool-Aid. Let me list just the ones that roll off the top of my not-so-bright head:

* Hillary Moonies cite recent polls showing that likely Democrat voters would vote for Hillary if she ran. Yes, this is true — but why? The answer is not reassuring. It is because the less voters see and hear of Hillary the more they like her. Which means the converse is true as well. Just get her out on the national campaign trail, on the news every night, in dozens of ads on TV, and in nationally televised debates and watch those poll numbers plummet. Hillary grates on people. Maybe that’s unfair. But it’s still true.

* Hillary has triangulated herself into irrelevance with her hawkish support for the war in Iraq. She did this in order to show she could be tough, just like a man. All she really proved was that she could be a conniving politician, just like men.

* All’s fair in love, war and politics. So expect all that Kenneth Starr variety crap about the Clintons to make a big comeback. I know that Starr and his Dark Side minions failed to prove most of the allegations against the Clintons. But the Clintons’ own sloppy ethics provided the very fuel on which the Vast Right-Wing Conspiracy ran. If Hillary is nominated the Swift Boat Veterans will be back in a new form, but in full form. They will pound her relentlessly. Unfair? You bet. Go tell it to John Kerry.

* Finally, there’s Bill. Imagine Bill as First Husband, rambling around the East Wing of the White House with nothing but time on his hands. How long would it be — days, weeks, a month? — before the stories about White House maids getting made began? That’s not just a possibility, or even a probability. It’s a certainty. Then the nation and the world will be again treated to four years of “Live From the White House — The Jerry Springer Show!”

I could go on. There are many more reasons not to vote for Hillary.

I was so glad to see them leave when the Clintons’ eight years were up. I was exhausted, as were millions of other Americans of Clinton fatigue. Bill and Hillary bring too much baggage along with them.

Instead of wasting time on Hillary, the Democratic Party, or what’s left of it, should be searching right now for inspirational candidates. By the time the ‘08 general election rolls around, Bush’s policies will have created such ruin, pain and embarrassment that voters will be starved for a real statesman. Someone who can do for post-Bush America what Roosevelt did for post-Hoover America.

The February 1st Ron Paul Money Bomb – Epic Success?

Well, here we are, about 2 weeks until Super Tuesday

We just performed a mediocre money bomb on the 21st of January (MLK Day) and produced a paltry 1.85 million dollars for the campaign.

  • Mitt Romney is buying the Presidency with his own money.
  • McCain just raised $7 Million over the last month.
  • Giuliani is broke.
  • Huckabee is broke.

McCain is surging in the polls and appears to be doing better in the primaries. We need to do something!

If we sit and wait, we lose…

We will win if we generate momentum. We need to demoralize the other campaigns. We need to drive fear into the hearts of the establishment and show that Ron Paul and his supporters are fully committed are are ready to go the distance.

So here is the plan and we all need to participate: On February 1st 3rd (4 days before Super Tuesday) we will fund Ron Paul’s General Election. We will show our forward thinking and our massive support for the freedom message. We need to attract the previous Thompson voters, the previous Gravel voters, and now the Kucinich voters to take a stand and not waiver.

The money bomb(s) have been the most effective tool we have toward showing support and driving a wedge into the minds of the other campaigns. We are fighting a battle of ideologies, true but on the ground, we are fighting a battle of wills. Everyone wants to be on a winning team. This is why we must show the other campaigns, and the undecided voters who is determined, who has the loudest voice, who has the greatest backing, and who is more determined to win on February 1st 3rd.

Please join us this February 1st for the Ron and Carol Paul 51st wedding anniversary mass donation day. This mass donation event has been in stealth mode so as not to attract the media who can then warp it to their message. The intent is to “out of nowhere” produce a ridiculous amount of support for Ron Paul. The “out of nowhere” is vital.

http://www.libertytax08.com or http://www.fiftyoneyears.com/ are the websites for the event.

This will take a small amount of work on your (our) part. If we commit to at least 30 minutes of time each within the next four days we can make this massive event happen.

Here is what is needed from each of us.

1. Set aside 30 minutes during the next two days to be in front of your computer.

2. Start the clock on the half hour and proceed to visit as many blogs, meetup group websites, message boards, comment sections as possible. Visit politics oriented websites, conservative oriented websites, Fred Thompson websites, Kucinich websites, Diggs, MySpaces, Facebooks, etc.

3. Then send an email to a minimum of 10 other people. These people should be friends of Ron Paul or emails gotten from freedom movement websites. Could even be webmasters, or admin@something.comaddresses. Tell the folks you send an email to who you are and that we are doing up a sneak money bomb for Ron Paul. If they want to do away with the IRS, now is the time to prove it. Paste the content of this email to your own. – Bottom line is get the word out.

4. If you own a website, there are banners available on the http://www.libertytax08.com or http://www.fiftyoneyears.com/ sites to use. That is all that is required to pull in $10,000,000.00. (30 minutes each). I have sent this email to 800 of you, so collectively 800 folks spending 30 minutes to get the word out this weekend creates 24,000 hours spent advertising the event Maybe you do not want to partake in the event, maybe you don’t have$500 dollars, this is completely understandable. Please help donating 30 minutes toward spreading the word.

Donations must be made directly to the official Ron Paul website. Use the above links or click here.

If you don’t believe me, here is a clip of Ron Paul explaining what is at stake in the 2008 election:

The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Episode 3

Episode 3, “The Turk”, deals with Sarah Connor’s conflict with killing a man who could revive Skynet and John’s awkward adjustment into high school.  The episode starts off with Sarah talking about her obsession with the men who developed the atom bomb and her desire to kill them just to stop their destruction.  She wakes up and talks to John about the photos they found from the Techcom bags they took in the last episode.  Later John and Cameron prepare for high school as Sarah meets with Dyson’s wife.

At Miles Dyson’s grave, Sarah meets with his widow to pay their respects with Sarah asking her about some of the photos she found.  Dyson’s wife tells her that one of the men is named Andy and once interned at Cyberdyne before she destroyed it.  She then tracks him down at a cell phone store where she talks to him about buying some blackberries.  Later Andy decides to ask her out for dinner at his place, which she accepts.  While preparing for the date, Sarah thinks about how the OSS planned on killing any Nazi physicists who were researching the atomic bomb.

Meanwhile, John and Cameron start their first day in high school.  Cameron was able to pass through metal detectors with the excuse that she had a large metal plate in her head.  This was also used as an excuse for her odd behaviour.   John had ordered Cameron to pretend to be his younger sister and to not act like his bodyguard.  However, she manages to get herself transferred into every class John is in and gets in his way of meeting a nice girl.

Later in high school, Cameron meets up with a girl who is depressed because of rumours that she was involved with a faculty member.  This girl eventually decides to commit suicide by jumping off a roof after being fed up with all the rumours and for fear of getting in trouble with her parents.  John tries to get to the roof to save her but he is stopped by Cameron despite his direct orders.  As a result the girl manages to commit suicide with John feeling frustrated about remaining “off the grid” since he is expected to be a good heroic man in the near future.

Cromartie (T-888) breaks into a hospital and steals about 20 units of type O blood.  He later breaks into a geneticist’s office and coerces him into synthesising organic tissue for him.  Despite being in a position of certain death, the geneticist agrees to help Cromartie due to his temptation of making a scientific breakthrough with the chemical formula given to him by the terminator.  He manages to synthesise the chemicals and watches as the fleshless terminator bathes in the chemicals before emerging with skin.  However, the synthesis is flawed as Cromatie regained flesh but not without a pair of eyes, which is takes after killing the geneticist and destroying all evidence of his work.

Sarah goes on a dinner date at Andy’s house.  There she learns about Andy’s time in college as a computer science major before dropping out after his father died and his mother went mad.  She later stumbles upon a poster promoting a chess match between a chessmaster and a machine and asks Andy about it.  Andy shows her “The Turk” an artificial intelligence programme he customised to beat chessmasters in every conceivable combination.  His discussion is interrupted when Sarah detects a prowler outside of the house.  We later learn the prowler is a Techcom agent that there have been break-ins in the neighbourhood, implying they are out to destroy the AI platform.  She later leaves and is pressured by John to destroy the platform before it develops into Skynet.

Agent Ellison continues to investigate Enrique’s death and the deaths from the Techcom safehouse.  Because of his failure in apprehending Sarah Connor in 1999, he is treated as a joke by his colleagues.  At the safehouse, he points out that the bullets found were the same bullets used to kill Enrique, which is dismissed by the crime scene team as a just a turf war between druggies who were known by locals for being crazy.  Ellison later visits Carlos asking about his conversations with Enrique and gives him his card in the event he decides to provide evidence.  After running fingerprint checks on the dead Techcom agents, the FBI finds matches with random children scattered in the United States.  Ellison wants to investigate further and is handed the evidence by his confused co-workers.  Agent Ellison later investigates the crime scene where the geneticist was killed with the FBI field agents horrified at the sight of blood and the fact the killer took the dead man’s eyes.

Sarah decides to have another date with Andy to learn more about “The Turk”.  Andy enthusiastically tells her that it was customised by stacking several Xboxes and Playstations together and he is always amazed at how the AI is smart enough to complete chess matches and wishes for the day when it evolves into more.  Sarah then considers killing them on their walk, but she compromises by just burning Andy’s house down.  The episode ends with Sarah talking about how the physicists felt like “Sons of bitches” for developing the atomic bomb when seeing the first atomic test.

What a Day for Ron Paul and his campaign!

I understand that many people had strong reactions to my views on why the Martin Luther King Jr. Money Bomb was nowhere near the success experienced on November 5th and the Tea Party. As I have mentioned before, I feel that 1.85 million is still not enough to get enough media presence and campaign staff needed to have a solid performance on Super Tuesday and White supremacists/racists/nationalists will continue to be a liability to Dr. Paul as the stakes are increasingly higher.

Some people were sane enough to read through the earlier blog and provided counterpoints to my views on the MLK money bomb. While it is true that 1.85 million is quite an achievement when it was raised from private citizens, it is still an indication of the drop in support since New Hampshire and it is a relative failure compared to past money bombs.

Having a bell curve for a money bomb trend is not good when Super Tuesday is in 2 weeks. Again, 1.85 million is simply not enough to gather a Ron Paul presence in 20 states in America when up against the corporate media and Mitt Romney’s infinite family fortunes. Dr. Paul needs much much more than a paltry 1.85 million if he is going to win.

Sometimes constructive criticism is needed to remind people what is truly at stake and someone has to say it or else we will all fail from groupthink. Ron Paul is always the lone voice in all GOP debates taking a stand and making his case with detailed explanations that often go against the delusions of his peers. I feel that highlighting these potential problems will only better the campaign for future onslaughts and to keep the goals in perspective as we all head into Super Tuesday.

I heard a rumour that online Giuliani supporters originally posed as Ron Paul supporters and did nothing but harass supporters of other candidates online in order to tarnish Dr. Paul’s reputation. This would be an explanation on why these so-called Internet Paultards are unreasonable and thuggish like online and offline Giuliani supporters. Perhaps Giuliani’s sad attempt to damage Ron Paul by having supporters troll in his name has worked too well, since it has encouraged bad behaviour which has worked against his campaign and sometimes promoted infighting when other Ron Paul supporters break with conventional thought.

If these rumours are true, then Rudy Giuliani’s supporters have truly created a monster that has led to blowback for the 2008 Primary Elections. Ron Paul supporters who still adhere to such bad behaviour are only benefiting Rudy Giuliani and the corporate media at the doctor’s expense. They are also alienating other Ron Paul supporters as well with their thuggish harassment on the Internet.

On another note, Fred Thompson has called it quits and will be returning to “Law & Order” once the Writers Guild of America sorts out their disputes. I have the feeling Fred quit because he simply ran out of cash, which is what Huckabee and Giuliani seems to be struggling with against Romney’s war chest, McCain’s media coverage and Paul’s enduring resources. If Paul is to even knock both Giuliani and Huckabee off the table, then Ron Paul needs much more than the paltry 1.85 million that was raised on Dr. King’s day.

Come on people we can do better than that! https://www.ronpaul2008.com/donate/

Ron Paul’s Martin Luther King Day Money Bomb: Epic Failure

Unlike the record-breaking money bombs on November 5th and the Boston Tea Party, the Martin Luther King Day money bomb is an epic failure. Barely raising $2 million in a 24-hour period, the Paul-endorsed MLK money bomb has failed in its goal in convincing America that Ron Paul’s supporters support Dr. King, and it is an indicator of the lack of funds from his remaining supporters.

Then there are the following factors:

1. Many White supremacists supporting Ron Paul have done all they can to dissuade other normal supporters from contributing on MLK day. These people make outlandish claims that Martin Luther King Jr. was a communist agent, that he was a polygamist, and he was a self-hating black man. Then there are those who make claims that he is simply a pinko liberal who values state controlled integration and was under investigation by the FBI for subversion. Some even tried to have non-MLK day money bombs last week as alternatives to giving money on the 21st of January. Some White supremacist-sponsored money bomb include the Benjamin Franklin money bomb, and the Lee-Jackson Day money bomb of last week. Both of these money bombs and racist rumours may have dissuaded just enough people from contributing.

2. A good number of Ron Paul supporters have simply called it quits. After the epic failure in New Hampshire many volunteers simply threw in the towel and proceeded with their backup plans (Obama). Those who remained were apprehensive over contributing any more funds that are still seemingly unused by the official Paul campaign while others are simply out of funds to contribute after investing much of their time and money into the Tea Party and success in New Hampshire. Unfortunately, many college kids and supporters feel that it is very easy to overrun a straw poll or spamming online polls, yet find it a struggle to simply get out of the house to spend at least 20 minutes waiting in line to physically give Ron Paul a real vote in the election. Sure, winning virtual or mock elections are great for internal headlines, but they are worthless if people don’t bother voting in the real elections that count. It’s like running a school election and getting chummy with all the supporters but always forgetting to teach them how to actually vote when the time counts.

3. Ron Paul’s racist newsletters. While it is true that Ron Paul never wrote those newsletters and he was extremely incompetent in overseeing what gets written in his name, the corporate media has picked up this issue to the point where it has alienated enough supporters. I am sure these newsletters were a sensation to the Ron Paul White Nationalist factions, but they managed to alienate the 95% of the mainstream supporters. There has been speculation that Lew Rockwell was the idiot behind those racists and homophobic writings, but no one is man enough to admit fault so that Ron Paul would be absolved of all these attacks by liberals, conservatives, and corporate whores. It is a shame that the writer of those Ron Paul newsletters is unwilling to come forward to help Ron when he needs it most.

4. Lack of funds. After the debacle in New Hampshire and Michigan many supporters are reluctant to give to the campaign. Instead they decided to spend much of their potential contributions funding local Ron Paul grassroots programmes and even that Ron Paul blimp. Therefore, these supporters are still contributing to the campaign in their own right at the official campaign’s expense. Plus, they feel there is some level of accountability over how that money is spent on local or regional campaigns rather than having uncertainty over what Ron Paul is actually doing with the money bomb funds. Ron Paul has even noted that much of his donors are the poor and college students who often give small donations.

5. All the above.

It’s unfortunate that this hyped money bomb has become an epic failure. I am a Ron Paul supporter but I also live in reality to understand the damage Ron Paul has taken in recent months and from his endless problems with racists, who are becoming a much greater liability to Ron Paul. Take for instance Randy Gray, the Ron Paul Michigan campaign coordinator:

A Michigan leader and member of the Knight’s Party faction of the Ku Klux Klan is involved in Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul’s Michigan campaign according to a recent article published at DailyKos.com. The Klan member–Randy Gray–was listed as campaign coordinator for the city of Midland.

Pictures from Ron Paul’s Michigan website show Gray with Paul:

011708-kkk_paul-02.jpg

Gray–who posts on the racist website Stormfront.org–recently described his campaign activities on behalf of Paul:

011708-kkk_paul-03.jpg

According the post, Gray has gone door-to-door, organized rallies, and attended meetings. Similarly, the post makes quite clear Gray’s connections to the Ku Klux Klan, with it listing the airtimes for the “This is the Klan” program that he airs on Midland public access television as well as a reference to Michigan-based “Pastor” James Wickstrom. Wickstrom is a Christian Identity (a white supremacist religion) preacher who has advocated the annihilation of the Jewish people.

Back in July, Media Mouse profiled Gray before he spoke at a rally in Kalamazoo organized by the prominent racist radio host Hal Turner. We documented Gray’s longtime involvement with the Klan and his history of racist and homophobic statements. As an example, it is worth noting that Gray has referred to people of color as “savages” and “animals:”

“… [S]o many of these savages, according to our statistics, they’re murdering our people, on a daily basis, and there’s nobody in our legal system that would dare say, “Bring back the rope! Bring back the electric chair!” Instead, they take our tax dollars and they feed these animals at the cost of our race!

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, you have been lied to about diversity and multiculturalism. The immigration crisis that’s being pushed upon us by the race traitors of Washington, D.C. — they don’t care about our people, they’re too concerned about the homosexual rights! They’re too worried about protecting the rights of the Highlander communist school in New Market, Tennessee, that pushes this immigration, this race problem in our nation today — comes right out of the communist school. It was closed down originally in 1960 by the state of Tennessee, but they are in New Market, Tennessee, and we were up there yesterday taking photo pictures.”

Randy Gray also happens to be a Ron Paul supporter who organised the Benjamin Franklin money bomb in response to the official MLK money bomb. Something to take note as this campaign heads into “Super Tuesday”. Feburary 5th, will be the day everyone will figure out, without a doubt, whether Ron Paul 2008 sinks or swims.

A Ron Paul Primary Party in New York

Well I managed to make it home in one piece despite tripping on a piece of metal lying around at the party last night. To be frank, last night’s party was nowhere near the levels it once was at the Tea Party money bomb and during New Year’s Eve. This wasn’t really a surprise since there were many who were sorely disappointed at the results in New Hampshire and Michigan. It would be safe to say many of these people have either gone ahead with their backup plans or simply gave up. Then again, I am sure there was much confusion over the nature of last night’s party in New York since it talked about precinct leaders and changed their schedules twice at the last minute. The rest of the supporters were stepping up their grassroots campaigning or decided to support Ron Paul until the bitter end, which is expected to be sometime after “Super Tuesday”.

It was fortunate that Ron Paul was able to make second place securing 4 delegates in Nevada while still beating out Giuliani in South Carolina. Despite many Giuliani supporters laughing at Dr. Paul or making incoherent rants on blogs or youtube about Ron Paul’s electability, reality shows that more voters support Ron Paul versus Rudy. That being said, the primary should be refocused as a war of attrition with Ron Paul constantly receiving enough cash injections for his campaign to outlast the cash-strapped Giuliani, Thompson, and possibly Huckabee campaigns. The optimists point out that Ron Paul will have speaking time at the GOP convention because he has delegates, but I am sure they will not air his speech on television. They also point out that the nomination process is extremely convoluted, which may give them a chance to disrupt the process.

Then there were some other interesting developments at the party. Most of it were genuine concerns and some were just misinterpretations over some of my writings. I honestly would not go out to portray any good friends or acquaintances I have met in a negative light in my blog entries but I normally drop names if they are portrayed in a memorable and positive light. So if I were to discuss people who have wronged me, I would talk about a liar (Sean Soh) in detail or go over how some petty and immature girls (Kathleen Phang, Chika Jaggard) used my kindnesses for their own ends and then spat me out like chewing gun when I was no longer needed. That being said, I would drop names if I either wanted to portray someone in an extremely negative light or in a memorable positive light.

So, there were some things that went down in the Ron Paul New Year’s Bash. If some of the things I discussed do not reflect you in any way, shape or form, then you need not worry or bother to be concerned. However, if you somehow feel those things are about you despite being about real drunk girls and guys from the club across the street, then there is a serious misunderstanding. I will leave it at that because those who took issue with my account of the New Year’s party are very nice, likable people.

Now, as an Asian-American like many conscious Asians in the great US of A, I do get incensed at the White Man’s stereotypes about how all Asians look like “brothers and sisters” or the ilk. My females friends get annoyed when people think they are my younger sister and vice versa. I had enough of this bullshit as like-minded Asians I have met online and in my travels also were annoyed at it and I was ticked when a fellow Asian mentioned it at a time when I had enough of that. With that being said, I will admit I did overreact to that “bro and sis” bit and I will leave it at that.

Then I am somehow a disappointment to the Ron Paul movement. I really have no idea what that is supposed to mean but I do know I am not part of the Ron Paul faction who thinks Zionist reptiles control all Fortune 500 companies and all international organisations. I also believe in the existence of a Holocaust where 6+ million people of the Jewish faith were gassed and the existence of HIV and AIDS. I am glad Dr. Paul gave the order for these factions to restrict discussion of these topics while further emphasising the mainstream issues such as the War of Terror and the economy.

Overall the party was Fabulous!!! -

This is what America will become…

If Ron Paul or Obama are not elected President in 2008
