Met up with Willmon, Will and Lazlo for Willmon’s celebration. We first went to Bryant Park in NYC for 3 hours of ice skating before heading to Grand Central Station for dinner at their food court. Also tried out some very nice gelato for dessert and treated Willmon for some as his “Birthday Cake” (besides, he never had gelato before). Afterwards we went to the Nokia and Apple stores and proceeded to hang around 5th avenue and Rockefeller Centre.
It’s been over 5 to 10 years since I went ice skating and it was great knowing that I still knew how to skate. I can say that the ice rink at Bryant Park was much larger than the one in Rockefeller Centre, but with obviously more people. Most of the fun came around speeding during the corners and carefully maneuvering around the others in the straightaways. The rink’s centre is mainly dedicated for use by small children and people who were unfamiliar with ice skating.
