Today Jehangir, Salman, and I hung out at Willmon’s place to first watch the Michael Moore satire Canadian Bacon, about America’s attempt to start a new Cold War with Canada with hilarity, and the final half of Inside Man.
It was funny watching Canadian Bacon, one of Michael Moore’s only non-documentary film, and seeing how prophetic the film was to today’s era. The made references to creating a war to incite fear, to divert domestic issues, and joked about the absurdity of waging war on mobile terrorists.
Jokes involved scenes of Americans burning Molson trucks, jabs at Canadian beer, the need to make anti-Canadian remarks in both French and English, the then-weak Canadian currency, and the poor healthcare system.
It looks like I might be vacationing in Taiwan Province it turns out after Willmon and Salman opted out of a Californian vacation.
